I recently installed iTunes for Windows and I have to admit I had reservations doing so. I was worried it would hijack my music collection and rearrange my files - it didn't. What it did do is give me an easy way to browse my collection by artist, album, or song title and convince me that iTunes can live happily with my own way of doing things.

Today I found out that one of my stock photos was used on a book cover. So that was pretty cool.

On a different note, you know you're having a good day when for the first time in 5 years no one is killed.

The ALCS starts today. Since the Sox swept the Angels in the ALDS, our tickets were refunded and we got a chance to buy tickets for this series. We're going to Fenway Saturday for game 4.

I'm not a very political person. I try to stay somewhat informed and when an issue comes up that catches my interest I look into it by getting information from as many different view points as I can. After watching last night's presidential debate I think I'm able to express what bothers me so much about John Kerry's politics. The driving force of his campaign is to point out all the mistakes Bush has made during his term, criticize Bush for poor judgement, and promise that he would've done things differently. That's all well and good but hindsight, as they say, is 20/20. I don't know that Kerry's decisions would've been better and his attempts to convince me aren't helping his case. Here's one paraphrased example:

Kerry: "I wouldn't have declared war on Iraq."
Bush: "You saw the same intelligence I did and voted to go into Iraq."
Kerry: "Ok, but I would've done it smarter. I would've gotten help and sent more money to support our troops".
Bush: "You voted against $87 million in troop support funds. To try to make things better you claimed you voted for the measure before you voted against it."
Kerry: "Ok, but at least I didn't invade Iraq."

I hate the term "flip-flop". It's annoying. What Kerry is doing is covering his ass; voting different ways on one issue and later claiming that he supported whatever choice turned out to be more popular. When someone points out he voted for the other choice as well he shrugs it off as a non-issue. This is fine for looking back, but it gives zero indication of what choices he might make in the future. In my mind, making decisions willy-nilly based on popular opinion isn't exactly the best way to run the country.
