The new Tool album is excellent. As with any Tool release, I had to spend a few days with the album to break down expectations before I could really listen to the music, but I found the process more rewarding than it was with Lateralus. I'm not sure the band will ever match Ænima's special blend of accessibility and depth, but 10,000 Days is an album that I'm sure will continue to grow on me.
