Despite the fact that "I hate cruises" a bunch of us just got back from one. I took some pictures.

If you're worried about not being cool enough to understand all the leetspeek flying around these days, don't be - Microsoft's got your back. Filled with useful pointers such as, "Thus, the word 'ham' could be written as '|-|4/\/\.'", this article is an essential read in today's "information-age". Now go out and show off those "m4d sk1llz".
After talking about not spending money in my last post I ran into SpendingWisely.com.
It's basically a growing collection of articles advocating living below one's means. I'm kind of a sucker for anything that seems to go out of its way to not try and sell me something (like financial/investment advice) so I find the whole "simple" approach appealing.

Today I was thinking about money and remembered SimCity. Should you ever find yourself short of cash while tending to your gubernatorial duties you could always crank up the speed and watch years go by like seconds, building up your reserves the whole time. While it always seemed a little bit like cheating, the reason behind the surplus is very real. This was a result of not being able to make expenditures that were outside of your city's yearly budget. Now I'm imagining if I could spend only what was necessary for years at a time and put the rest somewhere earning 7-10%. Game on.
